Sunday's Torture

29/8/10: SH4 – Bukit Hatamas
Another day that we arrived late! Again! Getting ready for the run was in a jiff and me Mrs was told to do the ‘short run’ while I took on the long.

Usual InTrail on the left towards the small rubber holding; we were pre-warned of the long the run that could take over 3 hours for walkers; I decided to walk as me knees were wobbly as the previous night’s KH3 AGM; walking on a slow pace, I finally caught up with the last sweeper just about to the ‘waterfall’; more climbs were waiting and never did I thought it would be towards Hulu Langat; it was no easy thing going through the hills, the killer climbs, more hills and more killer climbs to reach a spot to view the small town; looping around the ‘biggie’, we were ‘presented’ with more higher killer climbs; thinking down hills were near the home trail, we reached a beautiful waterfall and disappointments for a near home trail were there to be experienced; following the river that feeds the waterfall we had to pass through some slopes and down hills to come to terms that the run would not be at the end that soon; the last climb was truly and known to be the one between us and the run site, was long and killing; finally reaching the ‘highway’, we still had a long way to to get back – passing Level 6, Level 3 and finally the long down hill back to run site; FROP 2hrs while I was 35mins later; me Mrs completed the ‘short run’ in 1hr30mins while some stubborns that went on the long run came back at 11:30pm!; before they were out, 3 search parties and a number of phone calls were received on how to follow the paper trails; a batch came out on the ‘short trail’ home trail while the second batch search party came back after being called; while the third batch rescued were waiting by the waterfall! The circle was cut short as the mood was not around for worries were more.
